Kim, Sumer & Owen signed for CE Vila Olímpica

The 2018/2019 season has already started and most of the teams already have their squads closed. But B1 Soccer Academy has some good news.

B1 players Kim Junsu from South Korea, Sumer Singh from India and Owen Leung from Hong Kong have joined the Youth Team of CE Vila Olímpica, a partner club of B1 Soccer Academy.

After being fine-tuned thanks to the morning training of the development program of B1 Elite Development, and after training with the team for a couple of weeks, the technical staff of the CE Vila Olímpica, led by Jorge Gonzalez Peña, decided to sign the discharge of our three players.

Junsu plays as a defensive midfielder and due to his game profile, the coach considers that “he can contribute a lot to the team, both tactically and physically. Kim is a very dedicated boy and has adapted very quickly to the team’s style of play. He’s certainly a player to follow and more considering he’s a freshman.”

On the other hand, “Owen is a more technical midfielder with a good vision of the game. We’re working on physical aspects but we expect a lot from him. As far as Sumer is concerned, he is one of the best players in the team and we hope that he will soon adapt to the game system and understand what we want from him because he has a lot of potentials.”

Jorge has a squad of 21 players and it’s clear to him that to get into the starting 11 you have to earn it.

REAL OPPORTUNITIES

The youth team of the CE Vila Olímpica is undefeated and tied on points with the team of Santa Coloma, the Singuerlín CF. After 5 games, Jorge Gonzalez’s team have won 4 and have tied 1, placing in the top of the ranking with 10 points.

“We have a good team and we want to fight for promotion, but we know it will be difficult. There are hard teams with a lot of quality. We will have to continue with this good dynamic to achieve our goals”, said Jorge after the first days of the league.

The B1 players continue to progress and work day by day to improve and thus be able to continue competing at the highest level. With hard work, you always get good results, and our players know that first hand.

In addition, they are currently training with the Barcelona team, Lithuania’s B1 players, Adam Kovarskas, Argentina’s mid-point, Agustin Franco and Canada’s young winger Duncan Bates.
