After more than a 12 hours flight from Oakland, the boys of Impact SC had arrived happy to enjoy a magnificent 10 day stay in Barcelona thanks to B1 program.
And nothing better to start their weekend than visiting the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper to watch some of the younger categories games of the FC Barcelona. First, stop for these boys from Brentwood with faces of joy and surprise. Not every day you have the chance to enter and see a professional´s team installations like the FC Barcelona.
A perfect plan for Saturday´s morning spent watching a fabulous match between the U10 of FC Barcelona and the Badalona CF, the “Blaugranas” won their sixth consecutive victory with a score 4 to 0 against the Badalona.
But it did not end here, the boys of the Impact SC were able to take a picture with the future cracks of the Masia and when the group was ready to leave they found the Brazilian legend of the FC Barcelona, Edmilson Gomes Moraes, he has not hesitated for a second to capture the moment in memory for the youngsters of Impact SC. A nice detail, muito obrigado!!!
Around mid-afternoon even though it was beginning to rain, we had a whole afternoon to discover some of the most emblematic places of Barcelona. Sagrada Familia, Paseo de Gracia, Plaza España and the well-known amusement park of Tibidabo.
Preparing the new week
Also on Sunday awaited good Soccer. We had breakfast and on our way to the Ciutat Esportiva Jarque del RCD Espanyol to watch the Espanyol “B” team on a game against the Gavà CF. Victory 4-0 proving why they are the leader in their category in 3rd Division. Once the game was over the boys from the Impact SC was able to meet close up some of the players of Espanyol and take pictures with some of them such as Lluis López Mármol o Jordan Gutiérrez.
And the best was to come… the game at Camp Nou. Finally, the time had arrived to enjoy Leo Messi live. A spectacular game of the FC Barcelona against the Athletic Club de Bilbao with goals of Paco Alcácer and the Argentinian Leo Messi.
A complete weekend, full of special moments and much quality soccer… It was time to rest, forget jetlag and prepare for a week full of more soccer, entertainment, and some other surprises. Are you ready?
