But how much do we know about this competition? Let’s check some historical facts about it!

According to FIFA Women’s World Cup latest statistical kit there have been 7 editions of the Women’s World Cup, 32 teams, 4 different champions, 1586 players, 232 matches, 771 goals, 5 different hosts, 16 own goals and almost 6 million spectators.

The current champion is the United States, after winning their third title in Canadá 2015, and Carli Lloyd was chosen as the best player of the competition.

It was the edition with more goals and the one with mayor attendance until now, followed really close by China 2007. But, we are sure this year will be even better, breaking the statistics with a new attendance record.
