Full soccer experience in Barcelona

After a different day enjoying the Bubble Soccer at Jordi Alba’s facilities, Gol a Gol, it was time to go back to the training. Very intense days ahead of us.

8:30 am: Breakfast and technical speech to know a bit better the exercises of the training. Some sleepy faces and some yawning, but a lot of desire to go back and put on the cleats to continue learning. On Thursday’s session at the Narcis Sala of the UE Sant Andreu again.

10:00 am: The whole team changed and ready to jump on the field. Punctuality to the max and many disciplines during the hour and a half of the session. Despite the intensity of the session, there were moments to relax and have fun.

After the training session, we went with the group to discover different corners of Barcelona that they have not seen yet. Straight to the “Arc of Triomf”, and of course, the photo sessions could not miss at the well-known monument.

Thursday is for walking. After visiting the “Arc del Triomf” we went to the “Barri Gòtic “ of Barcelona arriving at Plaza Catalunya and going down to Las Ramblas and Portal del Ángel to discover the Barcelona’s Cathedral. The boys from Impact SC wanted to see more of the Catalunyan capital and we continue walking to “Plaça Sant Jaume”, “Santa Maria del Mar’s Cathedral”, “Fossar de les Moreres”, el “Born”… surrounding the “Parc de la Ciutadella”, where we ended up taking a break. And now it was time to go back to the UE Sant Andreu’s facilities for training with different teams from the Club.

Enjoying the B1 experience

It is Friday already and the week has gone by flying. Could it be because we love what we do. So, let’s finish the week with one last training at the CE Vila Olímpica‘s facilities at the beach.

1:15 pm: Hours of training and accumulated fatigue. But the boys of Impact SC had a great surprise for lunch. They could not leave Barcelona without trying seafood “paella” in one of the best-known restaurants in Barcelona.

After eating and in spite their fatigue, being so close to the beach it was a temptation for the young and the old. Towels, Backpacks, shirts…anything was good enough to lay on the sand and enjoy the good weather. Meanwhile, the fathers and mothers lay down, the boys took a few balls to play Beach Soccer …even one of them dare to bath. Right, Travis? ?

4:47 pm: The group started to get going, this time to Futbolmanía, the biggest soccer specialty store in Spain. Did you know it has a soccer field inside and you can even playa match here? The day ended at the Mercat de la Boqueria located in Las Ramblas.

The weekend was upon us. And only 2 days to finish with their first B1 Experience for these boys from Brentwood, California.

On Saturday started to rain and was a bit colder but the day was interesting. Morning with a training session of futsal in the pavilion of Bac de Roda CET10 run by Santi Gea, national trainer, and ex-coach of FC Barcelona. And the afternoon to enjoy the futsal in its purest state. The boys from Impact SC could see in direct a fast-paced game and full of goals for the FC Barcelona Lassa “B” in the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.

For Sunday remained to visit Plaza España, the magic fountains of Montjuic and the Olimpic Stadium Lluis Companys… After lunch, it still remains more soccer. The FC Barcelona “B” team was playing against the CA Osasuna at the Mini Estadi, a Second Division match. The FC Barcelona lost 0-2.

With this game, we put an ending to the B1 sports experience of the boys and companions of Impact SC. The moment had arrived to go back to the residence to start picking up and getting the luggage ready for their way back to Oakland.

But yet one last surprise…
